Two Brothers Two Bikes One Destination![]() Dan & Will Hawkins
In the summer of 1991, Dan and Will Hawkins gave up their jobs to set off on a journey they had dreamed about doing for years. Their destination was Cape Town, South Africa. Their starting point was the UK. Their transport was bicycles. This website is about their journey.
There are many people cycling and motorcycling around the world as we speak and the site also pays tribute to those adventurers who have chosen, even temporarily, to live a simple but exciting life in the saddle or on the road. You can read Will's travel diaries here. The Undentable Trust is charity which helps raise money for wounded soldiers. The trust supports three charities, namely 'The Rifles Care For Casualties Fund', which safeguards the welfare of the serving soldiers of the Rifles Regiments, its 35,000 veterans, and their families through financial and practical support. It supports the 'Royal British Legion', and 'Help for Heroes'. All profits from the the sale of the 'Two for Africa' book will be donated to 'The Undentable Trust' and donations are taken through the 'BMyCharity' website which you can find here. Please donate as much as you can. About The Trust Captain Mark James Hale, was tragically killed, aged 42, in Afghanistan on 13th August 2009 while serving with The Rifles. Mark lived his dream and died doing the job he loved. This Trust has been founded with the simple objective that Mark would want as his legacy: To help whoever he could and to always give his best. To this we will be organising a series of challenges and fun days to ensure Mark's own ideals are continued and his legacy preserved. If any one would like to help with fundraising or ideas of events please contact me to discuss. Many Thanks to all of those people who have shown such support for this cause. Charity No. 1133612 |
